So I bawled my eyes out a work during the moment of silence today and I'm all teary again after going through my flist.

I'd love to say its for all veterns and people who've given their lives for my freedom but I have to admit its for the slightest selfish reason.

There is -no- other day of the year where I miss my grandda more than today. He was a WWII vet, a part of the British Navy. He saw combat, he saw friends die. He also taught me how to draw a cat when I was just a kid.

To me, he was a wonderful man and the best grandfather a girl could ask for. But how proud am I to say that to the world, he is/was another brave soul who fought so we could all live in peace. Unbelieveably.

Thank you Granda, for what you and your mates sacrificed. I love you.
