Ahhhhhhhhhhh heat, i love you. So much love. LoveloveloveLOVE!! Today was the first 30'C+ day or the year and it felt soooooo good on my skin. So good that I was actually a little disapointed when daddy picked me up but a ride's a ride and i'll take it. I got to enjoy it down at the lake with Krissy but that comes later.
Work was good. Not as insanely busy as yesterday (srsly, was it a special day at my plaza or something???) so I got lotsa stuff put out and managed to get my plastics looking less neglected. They're so badly neglected...;_; for the last hour of my shift though, we had no power. It just went off, flickered and then was done. We had to get all the customers out of the store, the cashier had to do the totals by hand (thankgoodness we're a DOLLAR store. 1.13 for every item yo!) and keep customers out of the ends of the isles cuz they were so dark. I made a sign for the window about us being closed due to the power shortage but ppl still wanted in so we had to lock the front door and the manager had a smoke or two out there to shoo people away.
Heh, we all were silly for a bit, thinking it would start up again soon. After about 15 minutes of hanging around the cash and picking up the things I needed to buy after I was finished, I got bored and went back to stocking my isle. Apparently this suprised the night keyholder. Ummm, what else am I going to do? Sit there and look cute? I can still see in my isle! So I stocked. and then 5:30 rolled around and everything was still off. I was put out cuz I wouldnt be able to buy my adorable tigger notebook, then, just as I was dragging my ladder to the back, WE HAVE LIGHT!! WE HAVE INTERAC!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY! So I got my stuff and went home.
I mentioned Krissy earlier cuz we went out for dinner tonight! YAY! We got mexican from this place that I heard about at work and it was quite tasty. Then we went to my fave place in Brampton, the lake. Well...one of like 4 man made lakes but Loafers is my favourite (and right near my house). We hung out there eating icecream, cooing over the goslings and chatting. Twas a lovely evening. And it had cooled off a little by then so it was gorgeous sitting around weather.
Tomorrow is Ashley's birffday so I'll be seeing her and Sam so YAY! So much yay!
