I should try to be more witty...

Ian started basketball...kinda. It's Little Dribblers and they have practice every Tuesday and Wednesday after school. They basically just get them ready for "real" basketball by teaching them technique and teamwork. He's the tallest of everyone. He's really good too...naturally I'm biased, but he is good. The special ed director is going to evaluate him for her program and she mentioned how good he is at basketball. She said it's amazing that he can't walk down the hall without stumbling or falling but put him on a basketball court and he's smooth and graceful. Same with skateboarding.

We found out that his baby sister has the same chromosome deletion and that's the cause for her heart condition. She'll be having her first birthday party this Saturday and she's already had 2 heart surgeries and is waiting for a lung transplant.

We got hit pretty hard by the ice storm last week. I was off work and the boys were out of school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our lights went off Tuesday night at 11:00 but were back on Wednesday afternoon at 11:30. We really got off light considering some of Arkansas could be without lights for several more days.

I'm getting new glasses...apparently my eyes have gotten worse, my right one specifically. Thank you diabetes! Also got put on an inhaler and singulair because of allergies. I've been having alot of shortness of breath but the doctor seems to think it may be more related to allergies than being overweight. And, he may be right (he is the one with the degree)...since I've been taking the singulair I've not had as much breathing problems and not near the tightness in my chest.

Ian has gotten in to playing with his wrestling figures again...all 2 of them. LOL He actually has 3, but one is a big Batista figure. The other two "normal" sized ones are John Morrison and Jeff Hardy with a little title and a chair. He hadn't played with them in forever and suddenly started again and got mad that he didn't get anything wrestling related for Christmas. He wants a ring and some more figures. I'm going to try to start giving him a little allowance and also get him (and Evan) to start doing chores so that way he can earn money and save it and buy his own stuff.
