Gotta love this place

Yeah, so... Went into work this morning and found out we'd been robbed sometime last night. Not sure when, or how much money was taken, but I guess they're reviewing the video or something. I think some other people here work at McD's, don't they? Yours all ok or what?

But seriously... Who would rob a McDonald's? I feel low-class working ( Read more... )

Working at Mcdonalds is not low class. It is a job, you don't have to define yourself by it. If you dislike working there, then don't. If you need to then consider it a means to an end, there is nothing low class about stepping stones.

I am certain Renji can't have been working there last night or they would have turned on their tails. It wasn't a violent robbery, was it?

I will go and see him, anyway.

Yeah, I know it's a job, and it is kinda needed until I can get something better, but still. Can't help feeling a bit low-class when I come home smelling like fast food.

Ah, I don't really know Renji (he's a buddy of yours right?). The guy with the tattoos? If he was working, I'm thinking he'd be ok. S'far as I know, it wasn't violent, and was actually kinda amateur.

Then I suppose it is your choice to feel that way, but you're labelling a lot of other people with that statement.

Renji is hard to miss, yes - tattoos, bright red hair, the occasional underfoot thudding we hear on this floor is likely his head bumping against the ceiling. Naruto no longer works there, I think, and is bedbound anyway, so no concern there.

I never meant to label other people. Said that I felt low-class, not that it did for anyone else. ...Although I did call the thieves low-class, but then, I don't think very highly of thieves.

I am certain you wouldn't intend to label others, nevertheless by feeling that you are lowering yourself by working there, the implication is that others in the same job are also either lowering themselves, or were lower class than you to begin with.

I know it was only a throwaway comment, Chouji, don't worry. I'm sure having worked at McDonalds won't seem important at all when you're serving up cordon bleu dishes in your own restuarant.

Thanks, Miss Rukia.
