Day 1 in the FEMA Camp

Ok well we just had our first meeting since we got down here and were told that we should expect to get started actually tarping the houses in a couple of days. hey good to hear from you... we have not started yet, all the red tape with the whole goverment bull to get through you know...we have a meeting at 8 tonight, and I'm under the understanding that some of us will be going out tomorrow. From what they are telling us, there will be things unlike anything we have ever seen, and the futher we get down the coast the worst off it will be. I took off my wig, and my make-up to do this and I'll tell you this it's really weird for me right now. I will say this that if we are down here for awhile I'll have enough to pay for my surgury and that is the main thing keeping me going. I've also decided I'm taking a percentage of what I make and donating it back to the people that need it. I figure what better way than to take the goverments money and put it in the right places. I'm so ready to get to work. I can't really call you right now because I don't have the access to do so, but can stay intouch with you through here. and my email, openmouthrecords@yahoo.com I do plan to come there and visit after this is all over. But from what they are saying I could be gone all the way up to May and maybe even longer. From what I understand, after we get finished here, we will be heading southwest and start working there, and from there we will be heading over to south Texas where they got hit, so there is no telling when I'll be able to stop calling my tent "MY HOME", all I know is I came down here to help people out and to help myself at the same time.
