Unknown (poem)

May 30, 2009 20:12

I just found this on my old harddrive. I wrote this 3 years ago and I don't think I ever posted it anywhere.

Unknown

When I write, I hear voices in my head

Telling me the story as I put black to white

Sometimes I see rainbows and rabbits

Other times I see fire and death

Kittens and wolves

Vampires and dolphins

The sun and the moon

Kings’ crowns and jester hats

Pointed ears and rotting flesh

Rain and lightening

Thunder and flowers

Hearts and fangs

Violins and storm clouds

Smiles and sneers

Corpses and pink babies

Frowns and laughing

Pink and gray

Sex and murder

I know not what will come into my vision

For I am just a vessel

A means of escape

For my insatiable muse
