The school’s courtyard was fairly empty, with a few signs of people who had left before they arrived. Kibum unpacked his lunch and put it on the patio table before him. Jonghyun did the same thing.
The flowers were growing on a vine around the white gates behind them.
The sun streamed in through the diamond-shaped holes in the wood.
“I’ll trade you this piece of kimbap for that cookie.” Kibum offered.
“No way, cheapskate.”
Kibum twirled the circle on his silver chopsticks. “Why not? You know I really like the cookies your umma makes.”
“I don’t want kimbap, though.”
“What do you want?”
Jonghyun leaned in closer so his lips brushed against the outer lobe of Kibum’s ear. “You.”
“WHAT? You want me because I want that cookie?! YOU’RE A FREAK.”
“Fine, no Kibum, no cookie.” Jonghyun stated boldly, holding the sugary goodness up to cover the sun’s illuminating circle.
Kibum shrugged, sadly, for a moment before he got an idea. He could simply take it.
SNATCH
“HEY!”
“Hey,” Kibum hummed, stuffing the chewy cookie into his mouth,” Haaay, boy, haaay.”
