Meaning I can go weeks without posting, but suddenly I'll post often in a few weeks, and then I'm quiet again. I reply to friends a lot though. After I move I should have more time to post. It's just personal stuff. About family, some things about upcoming albums I'm excited about or movies or actors I like. Normal stuff. I am trying to so hard to get through IRIS, but someone told me something bad happens to my guilty pleasure TOP and I'm not really sure I like many of the characters ... D:
I wanted to see TOP kiss! Sometimes I like to see how a bias kisses just so it's easier to fantasize about it later on. lol But then I wanted to see how the drama ended. So I watched it all. OMG, TOP's intense gaze... That arrogant little smirk... I kept rewinding his scenes.
I still can't quite admit to myself that I like him, mostly because I'm not a fan of Big Bang's music (and everyone likes them/etc). But ... do I really want to watch the rest of IRIS for him? Is it worth it?
I got into their music because of TOP. I also like Japanese dramas, and loved Bloody Monday so figured I'd enjoy Iris. First sight of TOP and I fell hard. If you like action dramas then you'll enjoy it. As I watched more and more of it I really enjoyed it.
I want to watch jdramas, but there are SO many of them. I also want to watch Chinese dramas, but they are hard to come by with English subs D: I started watching Iris because I saw Lee Byung Hun in GI Joe and enjoyed him there. But, idk. I didn't like Athena at all (seriously, the biggest bunch of stupid spies ....) and Iris is sort of heading toward Athena territory. I don't know, Hero (2012) might fulfill my need for action kdramas, but then again, TOP .... But I'm also in denial about him, LOL.
I'm not in denial. I know what he makes me feel. lol if you want, just look up Iris TOP scenes on youtube. SOMEONE must have posted them all... even subbed. You get your TOP fix, and don't have to watch all of Iris.
I totally forgot about looking for cuts on youtube. THANK YOU ... For me, it's kind of fun pretending I don't like TOP (even while I totally do). But now I can just go find the TOP bits and then read the recaps over on dramabeans. Oh, man. That's perfect. :D
Honestly, I tried watching it and quite at about episode 10 because there was not enough TOP, and I couldn't stand the rest of the characters. I found the whole thing to be horribly predictable and full of very so-so acting. I was terribly disappointed after all the spazzing and raving I waded through while it was airing and I was trying to avoid spoilers.
I haven't made it out of the second episode. I eventually gave up and just embraced my thing for TOP. My problem is that it's basically just like Athena, which I watched first and which is AWFUL. I was really hoping for something better, especially after all the hype :-/
OH WELL. I'll always have Vampire Prosecutor. And, well, Hero (2012). And all the other dramas I like that aren't Athena and IRIS. At least I'm not alone in my giving up, LOL.
