Not knowing why Aoko's senses were full of strangely joyful expectation. Seriously there wasn't anything which could excuse this shameless behaviour of her mind... Or was it Kaito?

With a smile Aoko took a glass Kaito offered her. Like a perfect gentleman her roommate opened the door for her which made her laugh. Sometimes living with the scientists let Aoko forget that she was a woman and that there is something called 'Chivalry'. And now she imagined herself trying to convince one of her colleagues-who-was-solving-another-multidimensional-integral-in-his-head to do such a nice gesture. She just couldn't help, she had to laugh.

It was a bit chilly, but it was also all that she needed. Too much warmth made her to feel dizzy. And she needed to stay focused, she didn't want Kaito to think that she was acting like an idiot... Somehow she really was concerned with what he was thinking about her... And still, she couldn't 'buy' Keiko's idea about falling in love. That was ridiculous. Aoko had been in love once or two times, and every time she had acted so unnatural, desperately trying to fit her personality to the person she had been in love with, looking nothing but just stupid. This wasn't happening now. She was as much herself as she could be.

Aoko leaned against the railing and looked at the stars. They were sparkling so wildly. She took a sip of her wine, and looked at her friend.

Soft wind was playing with his hair, it made them look like they were alive, and they already were so messy. His eyes looked so blue, it was almost impossible from the physical point of view. How could anything be so blue in this dim light?

She smiled to him happily. A bunch of butterflies in her belly began a dance and she needed to turn her gaze back to the sky to calm them down.

“Ah... I can see Arcturus.” she said with childish joy, pointing towards the brightest star. “Look how it's shining...”

And the her face brightened for anothe brilliant thought. She pulled her friend by an arm.

"We can sneak to the observatory tower." she said happilly wrapping her arms around his and pressing it to her chest. "Shall we...?"

Ah, that smile…it was amazing the power it had over all his senses, making his eyes to softer and his own smile to stretch all over his face.

He laughed at her enthusiasm; this girl really loved her job. He on the other hand…

His train of though was suddenly interrupted when Aoko hugged his arm, practically squishing it against her chest. Only his experience with poker face could stop what he was really feeling from showing in his eyes. With his face completely hardened and his pose a bit more straight, the thief diverted his gaze from the lovely (and tempting) girl’s face and directed it towards the starry night.

“I would have never imagined you to be so bold Aoko.” He teased her, chuckling. “Are you planning to do something to me?”

’Damn it, why does her dress have to be so thin? I can practically feel everything…’

OMG and she's not wearing a bra *gasps* ugc10214 January 16 2011, 20:08:26 UTC
“Huh?” she muttered not understanding what he was talking about.

She looked at him. Chuckling Kaito never was a good sign, no matter how lovely he looked. She though couldn't denied that seeing him laughing awakened some strange emotions. In this particular moment Aoko realised that this evening would be a complete waste of time if Kaito wouldn't come with her.

She smiled to him sweetly, but then the other part of his statement hit her.

Aoko looked at his arm pressed to her chest and her eyes widened. She let out his arm as it was burning.

“Ah... I'm sorry.” she cried feeling well known heat on her cheeks.

She lowered her gaze tracing the patter on the tiles. And she supposed to not making an idiot from herself. What was she thinking, grabbing him like that...?

Still not looking at him, with the blush on her face which was almost natural for her when she was with Kaito, Aoko tried to compose herself.

“I-I... I j-just wanted t-to t-take you closer t-to t-the stars.” she stammered, and took a deep breath. “The observatory tower is the highest point in this building.”

Well, you usually don't wear bra with those kind of dresses...but she's TOO naive!! XDD butterfly1412 January 23 2011, 21:09:39 UTC
'Am I the only dirty minded one here?'

Kaito looks at Aoko's blushing face and tries not chuckle even more at her innocent answer.

'Looks like I am...Okay, focus you stupid thief.'

Kaito tried laughing to lighten up the sudden tense atmosphere and gave Aoko a friendly pat on the shoulder.

"I was joking. I would like to take a closer look at the stars." He smiled sweetly at her. "But are you sure there is no problem with us skipping the party? You friends may get worried." He added the last part while pointing inside the ballroom were a curious Keiko, who was trying to hide behind the curtain and failing miserably, was watching them with a huge evil smile plastered all over her face.

Maybe it wasn't naivety, maybe it was the perverted side of her hidden deep inside... ugc10214 January 23 2011, 21:38:32 UTC
Aoko rolled her eyes. Of course she could have expected Keiko spying her.

“How could she?” she muttered with annoyance.

They definitely needed to change the place. Farer from Keiko's sight. She took Kaito's hand, and pulled him towards the other door. But before they left, she looked at Keiko once again with a look that simply should change her into a pile of apologetic ashes and then she stuck out her tongue on her.

“Come on!” she said to Kaito with annoyance and determination.

And then she looked at the skies, still holding Kaito's hand, and her face lit up. A real smile appeared on her face and she turned around to Kaito forgetting about Keiko, and even about this silly situation from before. She was again full of this childish, but so refreshing enthusiasm and she hoped Kaito would find the view of the stars worth skipping the party.

“Come on.” she repeated but this time with a pure happiness in her voice.

Kaito laughed at her enthusiasm.

How is it possible that this woman can make him laugh so easily and with such silly things?

"Okay, okay...no need to drag me like that." He teased, once more. But instead of taking his hand back, he just hold hers tighter in his. Enjoying the warm feeling of her tiny, and not so soft hand, around his.

"Is it far from here?"

Funny.

Kaito's grip tightened, and Aoko felt happier. Like in the moment when she solved a very hard equation which she couldn't solve for long time. And somehow, she felt complete. Like his hand in hers was the only thing she had ever felt the lack of.

When they got in the corridor, Aoko slowed. They were now walking side by side, but she didn't want to let go.

“We just need to use the lift and we'll be almost at the place.” she said, when they stopped by the lift.

Aoko pushed the button and door opened with a quiet sound.

The female voice played from the tape greeted them.

They got in and Aoko chose the highest floor. The door shut and for the second Aoko felt the pleasant feeling in her belly increased its force. She always felt this nice feeling inside when the lift was starting and stopping. This time it was stronger and it made her knees go week.

“We will have to climb on the top of the dome, allright?”

Well, it was a kind of distraction.

Poor Kaito...XD butterfly1412 January 23 2011, 22:32:07 UTC
Kaito entertained himself by watching the numbers on the elevator switching every time they reached another floor.

It wasn't that entertaining, really...but anything that could distract him from doing anything inappropriate to Aoko in the small elevator cabin they were at the moment was more than enough.

"Sure. No problem." His other hand inside his pants' pocket started clenching and unclenching to relieve some stress...

Lady luck seemed to be smiling at him when the doors opened at the last floor.

It really was close now. In no time they reached the door and Aoko typed the code key to unlock them.

Once they were inside, she finally let go of his hand and turned the lights on. Few dim lamps at the walls reflected the nice, small room with the large telescope and spherical ceiling. She got to the control panel and opened it.

They need to go outside. So they did.

The wind which at the first floor was just a nice breeze, now seemed to be a little stronger. It wasn't cold, but cooling. Aoko took a deep breath and the well known feeling of freedom filled her mind and lungs. She loved the air.

The ladder leading to the balcony was in their range. She caught the railings and started to climb.

“Follow me.” she said, forgetting that she was in a dress and maybe it would be better to let him lead. It wasn't matter though. When Aoko reached the balcony she forgot about anything.

“The Universe is so huge.” she whispered looking up.

There were enough room to one person on the balcony. Actually one person could feel quite comfortable there. For two... Well it was the different story. They had to be very close to each other to fit in this place.
Aoko looked dawn at the Kaito who was still on the ladder.

“You just must see this.” she said with a smile, offering her hand to help him.

Don't look up...Don't look up...Don't look up...Don't look up...Okay maybe just a small peek- JESUS CHRIST- Down boy! Down!" Kaito's foot almost slipped from the railing when he looked up, really he needed to get more practise in controlling his pervert side.

Though, it really wasn't his fault to have such a perfect view up ahead...

"I have already seen more than enough." He muttered under his breath before he reached for her hand, head slightly bowed and turned to the side so she wouldn't see his slighty red cheeks.

But once he had that controlled he looked up...

And the stars were all around them.

"Wow..." He breathed.

You are just brilliant! And I'm trying to be romantic... ugc10214 January 23 2011, 23:48:47 UTC
Aoko shivered.

He was so close to her, that she felt his breath on her cheeks. She wasn't sure how her hand found itself on his chest, but she felt the soft fabric of his shirt under her palm.

“It is something, right?” she asked quietly.

Like any louder sound would destroy all the sparkling points.

Nakamori Aoko was a scientists. She loved science. She had never felt any better than buried deep down in her project, working.

Now the science was just an addition. The stars weren't the mass of equations anymore. They were tones of sparkling dots, surrounding them but they weren't the most important.

He was.

The man she was looking at with her lips parted like she was going to say something, but all her thought vanished when she look into his eyes.

They were shining more than any stars would... (except the Sun)

His scent so addicting...

The touch of his muscles under her palm...

And Aoko felt the urge to hug him. To feel his warmth as when he had been holding her during the storm. To feel his arms around her, bringing this feeling of safety and...

'Snap out of it or he'll see you're acting weird.' the voice in her head told her.

“The brightest one is Jupiter.” she said trying to control this unknown feelings inside her, but not being able to tear her eyes away from his.

Here, fluff. Happy now? XD butterfly1412 January 31 2011, 20:45:05 UTC
Kaito heard her talking and even felt her hands on her chest, but he didn't dare to look at her. He wasn't sure what would happen if he did.

But damn his curious side...damn it to make him look down and towards her cute face. Damn all the stars above for putting them just so close.

Damn his hand for lifting up without his permission to brush her soft cheek.

A winning smile made its way across his face. And that's when he knew what was going to happen. Because KID always took what he wanted and the opportunity was just too good for the thief to let it pass.

And like the phantom thief he was, with swift expert movements, he stole a sweet kiss...

Aoko was a scientists. The first thing she was doing in any kind of situation was analysing. Analysing was her friend, it was making things easier for her to understand or to just to gain a control over them.

This time the basis of her being shattered. Like a glass.

She wasn't quite sure what was he going to do, when his hand touched her cheek. She never had an occasion to ask.

The moment his soft lips touched her, Aoko's eyes shut and her mind did it as well.

Bunches of butterflies in her belly began a crazy dance. The earlier expectation exploded like a supernovae in a feeling that she couldn't understand, but that with a second it made her addicted. She wanted to feel more of this, to deepened this feeling, even is she didn't know how.

Usually scientists have their instinct very evolved. They needed it to find the right solution from the sea of the fake ones, to find the exact theory to explain silly numbers on the detectors. Aoko's instinct was always very clever. In the time like this it told her to rely on him without any doubts.

Instinctively Aoko mover her hands to wrapped them over Kaito's neck.

(His skin was so nice to touch.)

To press her body closer to him.

(He seemed to be so strong.)

To kiss him back.

And she did. With all she could.

(Which clearly showed how inexperienced she was.)

He could feel her inexperience, and the thought that he could teach her so many things appealed him greatly.

One hand went automatically to her waist to press her body more against his, while his other hand traveled from her cheek to the back of her head to keep her lips firmly pressed onto his expert ones.

The hand on her waist caressed softly over her small curves earning him a small delighted sound from the back of Aoko's throat.

He mentally grinned.

When Aoko thought that it couldn't feel any better, Kaito did something that prove her completely wrong; he brought her even closer to him.

All five senses sent to her mind the signals of pure delight. And Aoko couldn't help the muffled moans, she wasn't able to control her reaction. The feeling of Kaito overwhelmed her. The blurred glimpse of the blue of his eyes, the slightly musky scent of his skin, the strong, solid but so warm touch of his body and arms... and she could bet everything that she heard the music and it wasn't the music from a party.

For one thing Aoko really loved music.

Kaito delighted in her movements and sounds. He tried new touches and shifting his lips just to see how she was going to respond. A slight move of the head to the right, lips parting to taste more of her, hand going south juuuust a bit...

'What are you doing?' Said a voice inside his head- no, that was his voice. Kaito's voice was making his way over his fuzzy mind.

'You are going to hurt her, KID.'

Realization hit him as if someone had just thrown a huge bucket of cold water down his whole body.

Kaito wasn't kissing Aoko. It was KID. He had, once again, taken over his actions and he was hurting her. Because that was what KID did. It was because of him that he had no family, no friends, no life...and now he was letting KID hurt such a wonderful person.

He separated from her as if she had burned him (and she did in a way...he had never felt such a fire running through his veins with anyone before). But the sight of her confused face, cheeks completely red and slightly parted lips was making his resolution to slowly fade away.

"I'm sorry." He said, quickly, and turned around to flee from the place.

He didn't stop until he reached his bedroom.
