Mercy and Justice
Today has been a great day so far.I slept in a little,got ready,and headed to Solomon's to read.I didn't get as much done as I would have liked,but I got enough done not to be TOO stressed out,although the stress remains.Jason was working and we lamented together over the fact that it's as if our professors are too focused on academics.God is doing all these things in our lives,but we are so stressed out that we don't take the time we need to process through these things.
I also met with Melissa at Solomon's to talk about my letter writing campaign that I want to start.She's in charge of the Mercy and Justice group on campus.We talked about the importance of being broken over the brokenness in the world around us and she helped me brainstorm about getting campus-wide participation.Apparently one of the Kentucky senators is in charge of all the foreign aid and if more than 8 letters are sent regarding the same thing,then they're required to look further into the issue.I was very encouraged by this and my prayers have been answered.I prayed that God would refuel this fire in my heart to take action.I'm just tired of sitting around feeling bad and hurt over the brokennes in this world,but not doing anything about it.So I'm going to do something.I need to trust that God will use any efforts myself and others put forth for His glory.
So yeah,it's been a good day and it's not over yet=)
