What with LJ being down, I missed quite a few days. Also, I cheated on a couple of these and embedded vids that I've made that sum up how I feel.
Day Eighteen: Favorite non-warrior female character
Tosh. Love her and still miss her. My heart still aches when I think of her, sometimes.
This vid still holds true:

She was so brave and compassionate and brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
Day Nineteen: Favorite non-human female character
I was never able to fully get into FarScape the way that I know a lot of people did. Mostly because the big romance of the show (John/Aeryn) just didn't work for me on a massive scale. But I liked the individual characters, with my very favorite being Chiana. She actually felt alien in a way that the rest of the alien cast never did - she moved differently and her reactions felt actually alien, not just an exaggeration of humanity (which the other FarScape aliens sometimes came across as to me.
Day Twenty: Favorite female antagonist
She was only in two episodes, but she made quite an impact. Victoria was smart and resourceful and interesting. She had plans, but she'd also never stopped caring about the guy that (from her point of view) finished destroying her life. The Ben/Victoria relationship was pretty much poison for both of them, but when they were together, it was easy to see why they felt drawn to each other.
Day Twenty-One: Favorite female character screwed over by canon
I can't even say words. Really, the vid that I made for her says everything I feel:

I will always feel like she deserved so much better than what she got. In a universe where Gaius Baltar got a happy ending... she deserved better than she got.
Day Twenty-Two: Favorite female character you love but everyone else hates
Not so much these days but I remember back during S1/2 of Torchwood, there was so much hate out there for Gwen. I loved her right from the start. One of the things that I mentioned in my S1 reviews is that Gwen is the catalyst for the team to become a family - which was both wonderful for them while it lasted and yet has caused much pain. I love that she screws up and learns from her mistakes. I love that her emotions are complicated and messy. I love her relationship with Rhys and her relationship with Jack. I love how gutsy and tough she can be, yet how she always retains her heart.
Day Twenty-Three: Favorite female platonic relationship
The Elena/Bonnie/Caroline friendship is one of the highlights of the already very enjoyable Vampire Diaries. I love the balance and the tension - whenever two of the girls are on the outs with each other, the third one is there to keep the connection going - and the lovely moments of sweetness. Here's to having more friendship cuteness in S3!
Day Twenty-Four: Favorite female romantic relationship
I was recommended this movie a couple of years back when I asked for gay/lesbian recs where no one dies in the movie. "Saving Face" is a very sweet romance and family comedy/drama. It can definitely be argued that the happy ending is a little too abrupt but, you know, I don't even care. I think that Wil and Vivian had great chemistry, loved them together, and loved that they got a happy ending. The movie also has a fantastic mother-daughter relationship portrayed in it, so it's worth seeing for several reasons.
