Vampire Diaries: 2x17 - "Know Thy Enemy" (and a tiny American Idol comment)
Know Thy Enemy
That scene with Damon/Elena/Stefan and Damon stonewalling Katherine on information was awesome.
Not so awesome was Damon deciding to keep the moonstone in the bathroom where Katherine has randomly shown up in the past. Oh, Damon. Sometimes, you are so smart and then sometimes... not so much.
Awesome: giving Elena ownership of the Salvatore house so that she can have a 'safe house' again, one that she fully controls. Thank you, Damon (& maybe some Stefan, too). I've been asking y'all to do that since somewhere in S1.
Killer ending! Klaus is possessing Alaric? Eeep. So, now each side has a secret weapon - Team Elena has Bonnie with her amped up powers and Team Klaus has possessed Alaric.
Loved, loved this episode. Isobel's farewell actually touched me! As did John finally admitting that he's actually not all-knowing.
And the 'Matt knows' plotline has taken a most welcome twist. Excellent all-around!
Idol Results - Top 9
So, this is my theory of how the voting looks (and probably has looked pretty much all season):
1. Scotty

.
.
2. James & Lauren.
4. Everyone else.
I believe that Scotty, James, and Lauren are now the only contestants who haven't ended up in the bottom three at all this season. And I think that Scotty has probably been pulling away the largest number of votes by far, much like I hear Carrie Underwood did in S4.
I think that most of the contestants are all bunched up, which is why the B3 has been varying so much. There's not that much of a difference between them all, votes-wise, except Scotty, so it really depends a lot on what happens on the night in question.
My favorites are Scotty are Haley, so I've been pretty happy that she was safe tonight.
