Sarah Connor
That felt like a series finale to me. Anyone else? I'm not sure how the show can continue if they do get a third season. They just sent John to become... John.
(is it sad that one of my first thoughts is that, this way, John never has to watch his mom die?)
Sarah sending John to save the future. Trusting him to the future. That's the ultimate task of the parent. Letting go.
I'm so glad we got to hear them say "I love you".
ETA: Huh. I'm trying to figure out exactly where I'm disconnected from my flist on this episode, as I interpreted it as the fulfillment, John becoming who he would be, while most everyone I've seen sees it as John no longer ever being John Connor (Savior). I... don't understand this interpretation. Could someone explain it to me? It looked like a closed loop to me. A very well-made one. We even had Derek delivering the anvil of "You're going to be famous." I mean, it's a different introduction, but, considering time travel on this show, I didn't see how it changed the fundamentals?
Dollhouse
Wow. I did not see that coming. Echo coming and volunteering for a treatment so she can help. DeWitt being the person renting out Victor (...ew, btw -- I have to wonder if maybe she handpicked him just for herself. Ew.). Dominic being the traitor. Wow.
