Love's Labour's Lost

Magnificent! I was laughing so hard that my throat hurt! David was absolutely brilliant. And, not having read the script or heard any audios before seeing LLL, I hadn't realized that his role is actually the central male role -- he's the one who gives the most speeches, has the most witty retorts, and gets dressed in much more noticable colored costumes than the three other main male characters.

All of the actors were great, of course -- of particular note were Rosaline (played by the same great actress who played Bellino in Casanova and Chloe's mum (Tish/Trish) in "Fear Her" in Doctor Who), Maria (who was very amusing), the young Moth and Don Armado, and the Princess of France was being played the actress that I'll be seeing as Ophelia later on today.

So, yes. Brilliant. Absolutely worth the trip and the money -- worth more than twice the cost.

And David is, yes, even more beautiful without the barrier of the television screen. Not as skinny as everyone keeps saying, though! He's lovely and healthy-looking. Skinny, yes, but not a fragile reed or anything!

I managed to get a couple of pictures of him at the stage door and will try to get more tonight if I can. He's such a sweetheart!
