Today
Today was a good Valentines day. Not that I should be surprised. I've always been sort of ambivalent about the day. Just another commercialized "holiday." And it is. But it's also nice when your husband does something really sweet for you. I woke up this morning to a red rose and a sweet card. And a plate of (still warm) chocolate chip m&m cookies.. My favorite. I don't even know what time he got up to make those this morning. And used a heart shaped ookie cutter to make them. Who does that?
It sounds cliche, but every day is really like Valentines Day.
The kids had a fun day, both had parties at school, and were SO excited to make Valentnes Day cards for all their classmates. They both came home with boxes overflowing wih cards and candy. Grant was a little melancholy and coudn't seem to understand why he had to go to school on V-Day. I tried to explain that it's not really considered one of the major holidays. i can see how he would easily get confused, all the advertisements and hype.
Lot's of homework still, so back to it.
