Swine flluuuu. A kid at Madrona Elementary is suspected to have it and the school has been closed for five days. I'm praying so hard that I and the people I love don't get sick - also that nobody on campus gets sick and the campus closes, I have worked too damn hard the past five weeks to have this quarter cut short. Too damn hard.
Of course I'm scared, and i get more scared the closer to home this gets. All the same, if you live life being afraid, you really aren't living at all.
Hem. It's in God's hands anyway. We'll just see how it goes. In the meantime I am washing my hands way more often than I have been, and I am also rather amused at the hand sanitizers that have popped up all over campus. I kid you not. In additon all the soap in the soap dispensers have been switched out for strong antibacterial soap, except the ones in the dorm bathrooms. I mean REALLY. Someone tell me what sense that makes.
Today was a good day! :D I was really surprised!
1~! SUN. WARMTH. I APPROVE.
2~! Stage Movement! We did little fight scenes and videotaped them, and then watched them. Mine was not all that bad! I was pleasantly surprised. Professor George says he will spend time with me and Holly specifically on Tuesday and coach us through Tiger Rolls as a precursor to the Akido Roll, which everyone else in the class can do but us. AT THE MOMENT. WE ARE DETERMINED. And frightened. And I've almost cried three times in that class now, WHY IS THIS SO FRUSTRATING.
3~! I got a letter in the mail today! \o/
4~! Then I got an email from Professor Jerry telling me it's okay to miss class tomorrow for a doctor's appointment, because there is no class tomorrow! Whoo-hoo!
5~! And then I got ANOTHER email saying that applications for SPU Theatre Department Student Employment were now being accepted. They're due next Friday. UM GUESS WHO ALREADY FILLED OUT AND TURNED HERS IN. \o/ I WANT THAT JOB. If it's first come first serve it is mine.
6~! <-- LOOK AT ME GO ! The most exciting and adventuresome thing that I did today is I LEARNED HOW TO WELD YOU GUYS. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN ALL I WANT TO DO IS GO PRACTICE AND PRACTICE AND DO IT AGAIN.
7~! I FINISHED PRACTICA MUSICA!!!!!! I am the 2nd person in my music class of 42 people to get it done!!! And here I was worried I wouldn't finish. That class, just ilke Keyboarding, is 25% of my overall Musicianship class, and I just aced it. This means that I now have 50% of my grade solidly aced, and since I'm pulling A's in Theory itself, all I have to do is manage B's and A's in Aural Skills and that solid A in Musicianship is MINE. MINE I SAY.
Whee! Look at how good of a day that was! I'm really happy. I still can't go to sleep though...there is still work to be done! Eep! Thankfully last night I got my paper written, and now i have eaten food, so all I have left to do is study for a midterm tomorrow! The study guide is very vague, and I have a headache, so this may not last very long. I bet I know more than I think I do.
Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment to check out my ear. It's been bothering me a lot lately...it won't stop ringing, and hurting, and falling asleep at night is really hard. I think it's the reason I've had headaches all week, too. I'm fairly sure they'll tell me it's an ear infection, and the reason I am not excited for this...does anybody remember how sick I was last fall? It started with an ear infection, and the drugs for that gave me a yeast infection, which persisted for three months. The drugs for the yeast infection made me even sicker, and the ear infection persisted. Ten points to the person who guesses how thrilled I am about this.
fic stats: ...does anybody (by anybody I pretty much mean Clarissa) have a good picture of a bag a la Merlin? Or a Camelotesque bag? I can find great pictures of Narnian ones, but I want to compare and am coming up short.
