So I was up ass early this morning. I was asleep around 1:30am and had to get up at 5:30. Actually, apparently, my mom woke me up around 5 but I don't have any recollection of that. That happens a lot with me.
I had to do this to take the car in to the mechanic today. So Meinike's estimate over $1000 worth of work. Auto-tech's estimate $0. F'ed up? I think so.
SBall411: yeah, he's like, well the ONE shock is leaking and that's about $300 to fix, but I wouldn't worry about that until you need to get the car inspected again (which is january), and the breaks are fine except for some warping but i wouldn't worry about fixing them now b/c they have 60-80% life on them. the timing is fine, nothing is wrong with it. the shaking/rocking while idle is due to the air conditioner, and if you have a prob with overdrive then you can take it to a transmission place to get fixed if something is wrong but i wouldn't waste the money...
SBall411: basically the car is getting old and it's went from practically no use to A LOT of use, so that accounts for some of it

Meanwhile Meineke wanted to charge me $350-$450 to fix the timing and over $600 to fix the breaks and shocks. Fuckers.
It feels like ass outside and I was walking around catching buses to get from my mom's building to my own. I was gross, and now I'm sitting in here freezing my ass off. I don't know whether to be happy or cold.
So while I was at my mom's work she was introducing me to people and they were all like, "oh, it's nice to finally meet you. Your mother always talks about you [sings your praises]." etc. So if she's proud of me to other people, why can't she be more like that to me? Cause I always feel like I'm never good enough. Oh well, such is the nature of the parental/progeny relationship.
