Phew. How about an update, huh? It's been awhile.
Still workin' the same job. It's going better, but I'm still not sold on it. I'm gonna rework my resume as soon as I finish this entry and see about other options. Anybody got any suggestions? Let me know!
The house is still empty and depressing. I can't take it. However, the girls coming home this past weekend helped a bit. I missed them so much. Addi and Cams, man, they're great. And they make me smile. Cams told me last night that she cleand her room, mainly her floor, so we could have sleepovers. So Thursday night I'll have my first slumber party with the girls! Whoo!
I've still been trying to clean/organize my room since I've been home. It's been a slow project. Mostly because when I get home from work I don't really feel like cleaning. Wait, let's be honest here, I don't ever really feel like cleaning. BUT…I did finally get my computer set up the other night. Now to just get my internet working! That's where you come in, Renny! I have no idea how to set that up…
Man, I'm totally rambling and just all over the place really. Oh! So about 4 weeks ago I was out by Derek's house and we went car shopping. It turns out my old car has a hole in the gas tank…not good. So we went looking, and I was figuring on looking at/getting a decent used car. We look at the used cars when we got there and they were ok. But then…they happened to have a Toyota Yaris there. I saw this car at the car show last year and fell in love. And I had kinda forgotten about it until I saw it at the dealership. Well, long story short, 4 weeks-ish later, I've got a brand new car! I'm talkin' brand new, like I put the first mile on it. Well, technically it had 2 miles on it when I got it, but you know what I mean. It's silver (I've always wanted a silver car) and with 4 doors (which was a must!). Anyone that knows me knows that all I ever wanted in a car was for it to be silver and to have 4 doors. Well, now I've got it, and it's all mine! I'm pretty excited about it. It gets 35 miles to the gallon, which is also very exciting. It feels so good to just go wherever I want, whenever I want, and most important, without having to worry about the car blowing up! Oh, and I have heat and air conditioning! And a real radio! It's like a dream come true! I look forward to driving lots of places. Now with the car I can hopefully relieve Derek of most of the driving duties. He's been a saint and driving to see me all of the time, now it's time I pay him back a bit. And he was also really great and helped me out with the down payment. Who does that??? He does. And that's why I love him. And that's my car story.
Let's see…what else has been going on…
With school starting again, I'm realizing just how far I am from being totally adjusted to this 'not being in school' lifestyle. I mean, yeah, I don't have any homework and don't have to worry about finals and things like that, but I do miss it! I miss my friends too. With Lizabeth back to school now, I have no one here. No one. Everyone is in DeKalb. It pretty much sucks. A lot. I come home from work, and do nothing, because I have no one to do something with! How do I make new friends?? I haven't really had to make new friends since freshman year. So how does one go about doing that??? Help me out, seriously! I'm a total loser.
Well, I guess that's about all of my craziness that I'll unload on you people today. More for another time!
