Tonight there was a online chat thing for people accepted to Drew. It was pretty interesting. I think I'm going back down there on Aprill 28th to do an overnight. Maybe I'll meet up with Darcy this time. I hope she comes online, because I can't email her--I have no idea how to spell "Huzenlaub". That sorta looks right...maybe I can wing it?
Today at assembly a woman who teaches Feminist Studies at UCONN spoke. She was very funny. I enjoyed her a great deal, even though some people kept saying how she shouldn't have generalised that girls don't like the Three Stooges, because many do. I'm not partial to the Stooges myself, though I do enjoy Iggy and the Stooges. Sort of odd that a feminist speaker came, because as I was making breakfast this morning there was an interview with Patti Smith. Hmm...
Why do they still make liquorice jelly beans? Do they know that a good 70% of people avoid them, spit them out, or choke them down, trying not to taste it? Is it just a tradition? Because I'm sure if they came out with a line of "liquorice-free jellys", they'd make a killing.
