Williams isn't renewing Mrs. Wilson's contract. I just can't believe it. I've never had her myself, but she's an excellent teacher--everyone says so. Mrs. Rea and Mr. Wheeler met with two dozen seniors this afternoon during 9th period. We told them how much she's meant to us as a great teacher who is amazing at teaching kids how to write and who cares tremendously about her students. The meeting didn't have much more of a point then that though, as we knew they weren't changing their mind (people say she won't come back even if the do offer to keep her on the staff) and they weren't going to tell us the reasons for her dismissal. I guess sometimes she says kinda provocative things in class, and they were sick of dealing with the controversy...typical. I really wish I had had her as a teacher...especially last year, instead of Reddall. I heard Marcy say something about being happy she was leaving...but that isn't what upset me. I swear that she called her "that lesbian" or something. That's just so...Calvin's sort of right about Marcy sometimes.
