Only ten school days before Spring Break. And provided I can do environmental science labs this weekend, I'll be fine grade-wise. I hate dropping the ball so much only to bitch about it in the main thing that I'm wasting my time in, but that's the way it goes. I'm so excited for break. I really hope I can hang out with Helena in Greenwich for a couple days and go back to the Vineyard for a weekend. Yes, I was just there. But I want to go back, only for longer. If I can do both, that'd be the best vacation ever.
Earlier, Zoe spent a good ten minutes trying to master the woodchuck tonguetwister. She repeated it at least twenty times, yet every time she ended up saying "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck wood..." Poor Zoe...
Have you ever had something that everyone except you remembers but you for the life of you are convinced didn't happen? Apparently we had a goat at some point in our first year or so in North Stonington. I have no memory of this. At all. I was seven when we moved, but surely I would be able to remember a goat? I mean, I remember the sheep...I think they were Lamkins and Lucky or something like that, I remember the chickens, and I remember we had a goat for a bit when I was in 10th grade or so. But the first goat? Nothing. I swear the goat must have beaten me up or something and gotten me to repress the memory of it. Either that or I thought it was a sheep the whole time. That wouldn't surprise me either.
More class disunity. I agree, our grade isn't too close for the most part, and it's only 75 kids. Of course, I can't say that much on the subject, as I talk to maybe 4-7 people in my grade on a regular basis, but I was in disconnect with most people untill last year, so I guess that's my excuse. But I'm always nice to people, and I'm trying to connect, so it isn't really about me. But I want to be more connected to people...maybe I'll get Mikel or someone's screenname. I just don't see why anyone would just chop down a tree in front of the school randomly. It's such a stupid thing to do.
