She is made of iron, sir; I assure you, she can and she will. It is a mathematical certainty.

Watched Titanic on HBO. It is an under-rated movie, I'd say...or at least it just seems that way on IMDb, where half of the message boards say "Dude, this is sooo the worst movie since Titanic". But it's just very well-acted and well-written and well-paced and maybe I personally prefer Good Will Hunting for that year, but it's been almost ten years ( Read more... )

you totally quoted titanic, the chick flick to end all chick flicks. but you do have to admit that it was well done, at least cinematography-wise and the acting wasn't too shabby. i just think it's a bit melodramatic, is all. and it's a chick flick. i just can't abide that.

Well, you not liking it all that much sure makes sense...but what if they had Bruce Campbell instead of Billy Zane? What then?

Basil, I don't know if you really remember me, but this is Shira (from Williams). I was looking at Wyatt's friend page and saw this....

It made me sad to see that you think about embarrassing things from middle school. That school surely had some good points (no, I can't list what they were), but top of the list certainly wasn't being an accepting and creative environment.

You didn't fit, and that was a good thing.

Also, everyone acted like an idiot in middle school. That's what it's for.

Incidentally, the main thing I remember about you is this:
During a thespian improv session, you and your brother managed to have an long conversation consisting entirely of quotes from the Beatles. I was quite impressed.

Shira? The Shira who played Jeanne d'Arc in "Chamber Music"? I'm pretty sure I voted for you, in fact. I am quite surprised that you'd remember me...or that you'd know Wyatt of all people.

Thank you for your encouragement though! I don't think it was anything about the other kids though--the main making-fun-of incident I remember from Wheeler was when this kid, Matt Appleton, would taunt me with--no joke--"Basil likes to hump reindeer," which has just amused me to no end from that day to this. Mostly I just recall how awkward I was (am?) and somehow convince myself that people still remember it. Yeah...I'm a bit melodramatic in my head sometimes.

Okay first of all, that's funny because no: I wasn't in Chamber Music. You are thinking of my other half from high school, Dana. She and I were inseparable, and no one knew who was whom.

Secondly, I didn't realize you had such a penchant for reindeer. I will make note of that.

And lastly, Wyatt is awesome.
