good will hunting - because Robin Williams gives a truly incredible performance, the script is phenomenal, Elliott Smith is kickass, and the movie is so good it all but justifies Ben Affleck's continued existance
james taylor - because I fell in love with him during Uncommon Women and Others, and for my money, doesn't get much better than "There's Something in the Way She Moves" and "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight".
life - because I have a pretty good life, and I enjoy living it. Plus the cereal is go-o-od!
malcolm in the middle - because Dewey is the fucking shit.
off-kilter pop - because music that is very catchy yet somewhat off-beat, such as Paul Westerberg, Neutral Mil Hotel, maybe the Dresden Dolls, is the best type of music.
radiohead - because "Creep" is the most amazing ode to self-loathing I know, that "Ah-ah-ah" bit in "Backdrifts (Honeymoon Is Over)" is pretty damn sexy, and because they hope that we choke.
say anything... - because John Mahoney is awesome, Joan Cusack is warped twisted and hilarious, Lili Taylor is beautiful, John Cusack is the man, and basically I'm a sap for everything that makes this movie wonderful.
staring at mapquest - because even though I've switched to Google Maps (and especially Google Earth), I think this more accurately shows what a tool I am.
the princess bride - because when Inigo gets his revenge...it's a glorious thing.
tom hanks - because he's Tom "Freakin'" Hanks!
ypi - because it may have not saved my life as literally as it did for many others, but I'd say it was a definite turning point in my social life and self confidence
