I was just looking at my main page--and I have three Friends-Only entries on it. Which I think is the first time that's happened ever. Maybe I should be more...secretive.
So last night, I decided that I was tired of waiting for summer break to get here--Alden's probably back home right now, but I'm still here for two weeks. Which is good, because I like it here and I don't have that much work to do--I have three days of classes and then two exams (Yeah, only two exams--I'm a slacker). But I decided to get a jump-start...on my summer movie watching! Yes! So I got a Netflix account. I already have 20 movies on it. On Friday, I should be getting Lawrence of Arabia, Hotel Rwanda and, of course, Dazed and Confused (you just try to make out a logic in those films!). Yeah, I'm gonna be a loser and watch a lot of movies this summer. And I'm gonna be an even bigger loser and watch Ken Burns' The Civil War. I mean, if everyone went that apeshit over a 11-hour documentary, I should watch it. Right? Right?
Last night I slept for, seriously, two hours. I did not start my German homework early enough. This is certain. I went to Plays-in-Process tonight, and it was a really cool play, but I was just soo tired and couldn't follow it. Though actually now I'm not that tired. But it'll probably be an early night, methinkst.
Here's a survey Sara and Laura did, like, well over a year ago. And now I think I can take it. Don't ask me why I am though.
Nickname in high school? A few kids called me Butter, Noah and others...I think that's pretty much it.
Sport you were into? I ran cross-country for three years. And I never passed Alex Neusner. Not once.
Had a circle of friends? Not really--I'd say I was a social butterfly, vaguely friends with most everyone.
Best subject? I was best at history and calc, I'd say
Worst subject? Physics. Yeah.
A teacher you owe life lessons to? JANE! She was such a good teacher and adviser.
A teacher you wanna kick in the ass? REDDALL. He just wasn't cut out to be a teacher. Half the time I felt sorry for him, the other half of the time I was like "Why can't you keep our class in line?" and "Why are you freaked out when we're having a lively discussion?"
Freshman year: Mr. Girard's Latin Class with Anna and Emily was too awesome. Beginning Acting was fun, though a HUGE class. I went to a few parties--more then I ever did again in high school. Wasn't social, but learning the ropes. Didn't do well in Mr. Kelly's class with those papers--but he told some awesome stories. Went to therapy with Sugarman. On the Wire wasn't that good, but at the time I had a lot of fun. Won basket of chocolate in raffle.
Sophomore year: Had first Farina experience. Was intrigued. Mr. Kenworthy made us creme bruilee in Latin. Aced Geometry. Had no study hall. At all. Emily randomly in our Acting class for Jaberwocky. NETC Was BLOWN AWAY by Uncommon Women and Others. . Didn't get lead in Sweet Charity after making Sara, Kate and Jane laugh. Completely freaked out for a week. Play's pretty shoddy in the end, but I made Heather laugh. Anna's sticky buns!!!! Joined the Monty Python Club. We only met once. And there was much rejoicing. Found Griffen's boxers during Spirit Week.
Junior year: Was Vice President of the class. Did nothing as VP. Wrote and learned a lot about myself in English class. The class wanted more. I felt good. Worked at Hoytts all year. Calvin and Ian came to Williams. AP US History with Farina=sex2. Made character posters in Acting. Failed my road test a lot. Hanging out with Terra Meotti, cutest dog ever during Midsummer's. Hydroplaned on the way to the cast party (Sorry Heather). "Movin' On" opens Chompchorea. Good response. Started visiting colleges. Pippin is really fun show. Went to Foxwoods prom Stag. Have good time. Intermediate Acting miraculously pulls off Destination: Moodus. No idea how still. My dad got married, and I got a suit. Sight singing on AP...what??? Won Birthday Game!
Senior year: Got LJ. Had many friends outside school. Quit Regal. Had best classes ever. Mr Knudsen a god among teachers. Dr. Tyler's Environmental Science class criticised Bush between insects. Pooters! Mr. Kelly said I'm awesome at Hamlet; I never turn in a paper again. Physics is hard. Get first kiss. Spend too much time online. Got main role with Ian in Merry Wives. Was a pretty good show. I went out with zombie makeup on. Saw RENT, Sweeney Todd, The Producers and Gypsy. Williams haunted by the Ghost. Surprised Casey on the Vineyard. Wrote "Loosing a Memory" in twenty minutes. It's awesome. My brother beats me. Jesus Christ Superstar is awesome in a way Andrew Lloyd Webber has no right to be. Took Casey to prom, interned at Trinity, and graduated in style.
Your best friend was? I really didn't have very close friendships in high school. I'd say some of my closer friends were Anna, Bowen, and Emily. Ian too, when he got there.
Your worst friend was? I was never quite sure about David. Most everyone else either I didn't know at all or liked a lot. D-Lat I never figured out.
Cafeteria food sucked? Bah! So good! Calzones, corn chowder, pizza, chicken parm, stuffed shells...I'm so eating there when I go back home.
Most hilarious school rule? Don't tape things on the glass! You never know if it'll break!
Wore uniforms? Not at all. We wore shirts we ironed on that said "Spear Britney" and "Alien Forever"
How was the prom? I went stag to Junior Prom. I don't remember it that much, but I had a good time. Random drunk people photographed me as I was waiting for the valet. They said it was for HBO, but I googled the show and didn't get anything. Senior Prom was much better--I went with Casey and wore an awesome tux. It was at the Aquarium. I didn't dance that much; we just sat around talking with people.
Who was prom king and queen? Alex Neusner and Catherine Bates! Best Prom Royalty ever!
Any achievements? VP of Junior class, performed in Compchorea twice, was in seven plays.
Were you popular? I was in limbo--everyone liked me, but no one was close to me.
Best song that reminds you of high school?
Freshman year - "Give 'Em What they Came For" On the Wire (I have few memories from freshman year).
Sophomore year - "Don't Let Me be Lonely Tonight" James Taylor
Junior year - "Monkey's Gone to Heaven" the Pixies
Senior year - "Konstantine" Something Corporate
Unforgettable high school crush? Kate. Duh.
Most embarrassing moment? When I crashed into Heather.
Memory you'd like to forget about high school? "Who Let the Dogs Out?" Actually, just doing that reminded me that i've forgotten a lot about high school. So I'd like not to forget anything more. Except the Baha Men, of course.
Best memory? Playing "Chasing a Memory", maybe? That was pretty cool I was nervous as shit.
Any regrets? Not being closer with kids in my class. Definitely. They were really cool.
Would you like your "future child" to attend your high school? If I end up living in the area? Probably. Though I'd need to go back and see if it's gotten worse. Right now, it's getting worse.
Were the bathrooms clean? The new ones were cleaner than the old ones.
How were the lunch ladies? SO awesome.
Lyrics would best describe your high school life? "What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here. I don't belong here"--Radiohead
(And if anyone's wondering about what I posted about a few days ago, it's basically over with. Which is good).
