the incompetence of people
i don't usually complain about people, but tonight was one of those nights when absolutely nobody knew exactly what was going on, but they all thought that they knew, and i got to see exactly how much people didn't know and the messes they made when they didn't communicate and insisted on being right. gah! i'm also working with one of the most anal, suspicious, and small-minded people i know, which doesn't help matters.
that's my ymca job. actually, it usually isn't that bad, but all the new fall classes and programs are starting, which makes things stickier than usual. my milking cows job is great except that i get to ride my bike 16 miles one-way to get there. i had another job in the mornings for three days, but they hired a full-time person and don't need part-time help anymore, which is too bad because they liked me and i was enjoying it. if i need a job in the spring though, they'll have it for me. that's the nature of farming... even for dairy farmers, it is somewhat seasonal.
otherwise, life is pretty good. i think i'm starting to get back into the swing of things. i am thinking about taking classes in january and then going back full-time next fall. i know what i want to do, but the wait is for matters of practicality at this point
