Conversational English...that sounds like an ESL course, but a cool idea. Would it be a linguistics class or a practical class? Maybe studying local dialects of slang/socially expected responses?

Books: My aunt gave me a gift certificate to amazon.com for my birthday and so I've gotten an unusual assortment of fun books. The one that has arrived that is most exciting to me right now is by Frances Hodgson Burnett and is called "Editha's Burglar" and it's from 1888!

I also obtained with that same gift certificate "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco. It is very interesting so far. I also got a couple of Victoria Holt novels, a couple of Orson Scott Card Novels, a couple of novels by Avi, "The Princess Bride," some more children's books by Frances Hodgson Burnett and other stuff! I will not continue taking up room on your lj page with "books that Sarah got for her birthday. I will probably mention them on my lj as I read them...maybe, if I remember. :)

Also exciting in the world of books is my text book for a class called "Music and the Idea in the 16th and 17th Centuries," which doesn't officially come out for another few months.
