25 weeks to the 5K!
As LSA is still recovering from illness, I went out alone. Even though it'd been a week since I last ran, I decided to see if I could move on to the next cycle of training:
- Jog 3 min
- Walk 1.5 min
- Jog 5 min
- Walk 2.5 min
- Jog 3 min
- Walk 1.5 min
- Jog 5 min
After the initial set (3/1.5), I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to jog a full 5 minutes without stopping on the first such rep. For the rest of the training session, I was having trouble. I did do all the jogging I was meant to do, but not in the assigned increments. :-P
Ah, well. The fact that I jogged at all is the main thing, right? I still have plenty of time to get to the ultimate goal.
