Inauguration Day.

Every four years, I receive a rather unique gift.

(The last two times, I wish they'd kept the receipt.)

I will be 30 in 2009.

For my 30th birthday, America has given me the gift I've been wishing for for the past 8 years.

It actually wasn't bad at work today. Everyone was pretty subdued, which was just fine with me. I fully expected to hear some bitching and complaining.

I got an email from one of the few other Liberals at my old workplace out in the desert. Apparently, the rest of the office was acting rather "surly" and at least one person was heard to say he was thinking about leaving the country.

Now they now how we all felt for the past 8 years! :-p
