The year 2006 in LJ
Take the first sentence of the first (real) post each month and post it, for a *very* quick summary of 2006!
**I cheated and chose what entry I thought best described the month and picked what sentences I liked best. :)
January
so yes, i went to bed at 12:45, and woke up this morning feeling even better than i did on friday. and that's good because we hosted the kolanczyk holiday party today. massive amounts of cousins, tons of food including pierogies and mushroom soup, and opawtki can really get to you.
February
i had a circle city light beer that was huge, a brickhouse dark beer that had touches of toffee and semi-chocolate in it. really good. pam orderd a beer for herself that sucked, but i ended up drinking more than half of it because she didn't really like it.
March
i walked him to our front door, and we stalled there for another 15 minutes... being flirty with each other and looking into each other's eyes. finally after a long embracing hug and eskimo kisses, it happened.
April
all of a sudden, there are these huge BAMS. it was hail, and i'm not talking your normal sized hail. i'm talking golfball-sized to baseball-sized. all i could think about was my car. i was sick to my stomach. i surveyed the damage after the storm, and it looks like i threw my heels all over the car.
May
i'm officially a P2 and halfway done with pharmacy school. i received all my grades, and i'm pleased with all of them. i love it when hard work pays off. congrats to everyone on their semesters as well. can you believe it's been 3 years since we graduated? i still remember walking across the stage at the star plaza, and thinking college graduation seemed forever away. for some of you, it's next year. a little while longer for some others. it does fly by fast.
June
in case you don't know but you all should, my favorite player is scott podsednik. this guy is known for his fast pace and ability to steal many bases. he NEVER hits homeruns. well, he was at bat during the 4th inning with 2 outs and bases loaded, and hammered one to right field for a GRAND SLAM. it was amazing. i was screaming and jumping up and down.
July
we also went to star fountain which is in the middle of campus at like 2:30 in the morning, and put our feet in. it was a fun night... just chilling, laughing, and having a good time. this weekend was such a tease... i can't wait to get back. i didn't realize how much i missed it. can't wait for august 20th.
August
we went to 7 in broad ripple where johanna from the real world austin cast was cohosting. she's really short and petite! we all wanted to take a picture with her, so i approached her and asked. she was all for it.
September
made my target run between my morning classes and afternoon class.
grey's anatomy season 2 dvd- $37.99
justin timberlake's new cd- $9.98
taking the long way back to campus to listen to the cd- priceless
October
i killed my betta fish. :( i packed him up to go home with me... but i forgot to take him out of the car when i was at purdue thursday night. the poor little guy froze to death in my car! my dad kept giving me a hard time about it all weekend. my mom goes, "just don't do that to your own kid." i'm a fish killer...
November
as suzanne explained in her journal, there are not enough words to describe how amazing break was. i saw so many family and friends and did so much that i did not want to leave home and come back to butler.
December
break has been very relaxing, fun, and region-filled. i got home friday and sat around. i was so exhausted from the previous week and the night before. suzanne and i did our traditional "drive around the region and look at christmas light displays." always look forward to that one, and we were not disappointed at all.
thank you 2006 for all that you gave to me. i wish 2007 to be even better in life, love, friendship, and health.
