I thought it was fog when I got up this morning, it was only when I left to get breakfast that I realised it was really fine dust. I've seen pictures of San Francisco shrouded in fog that look spectacular.

Bluish grey fog sounds like it would make for some incredible photographs, all moody and mysterious.

Totally. I do admit to finding aberrant weather fascinating, however. Back in July there was a late afternoon in Sydney where the sky turned a buttery yellow-white but the light was an intense blue. I'd never seen anything quite like it:
