let the waiting begin

i had the FCE (functional capacity exam) this morning, and pretty much was told that my permanent limitations will probably prevent me from working in a job like borders because it is simply not possible to structure enough "limitations and adaptations" in that work to fit what my "safe working capacity" is... things like in a cafe i have to be able to handle, lift, pour from and carry a one gallon jug, rated at a lifting weight of 8 lbs, (pouring from it requires a higher capacity, to pour from 1/2 gallon is rated at 8 lbs)... i'm limited to "5 lbs occational, no repetative"... so now i have to figure out what kind of work requires essentially no use of my hands--no lifting, no repetative motion... so my long time fallback of cafe work is out, the work i did at maryhurst is out, where to go from here??
next is the settlement phase in which the kentucky department of labor (i think) gets a copy of my FCE results and determines my % of disability and then i get a cash settlement based on that percentage... so my dominant hand has basically been assessed as minimally functional, i don't know what percent of my "functional capacity" that is... but it feels pretty friggin important to me... i see the doc on the 24th and that's when the FCE s actually really put into action i think, so here we start the waiting game...
