[Fanfic] Love in Progress : Chapter 2
But, I want Shige to come with me.
“Shige. I beg you!!!! Please come! I want him to come.”
“Let’s talk later.” Shige bluntly answered and left his aniki on the library and someone tapped Tomohisa’s shoulder and he jumped in surprise.
“Ryo-chan! You scared me!” Tomohisa panted, regaining his breath.
“What? Is he going to come?” Ryo asked coldly.
“I don’t know. But, he’s thinking about it. And if you would mind if I let Massu come with the party. He will come if Shige will come.” Ryo began to freeze on the statement, that Shige wouldn’t come and that buta won’t come either. He began thinking.
“Oh, that buta. Yes, he’s fine going to the party. I won’t mind.”

“Masuda-kun…” approached Shige after their class.
“Shige, nani?” the chubby cheeked face, Masuda asked as he took his bento on his bag.
“Does aniki asked you to come to Nishikido-kun’s birthday?” he asked and Masuda blushed on recalling it and nodded.
“I told him, that I won’t come if you won’t come with me. So that I won’t be feel isolated on the party.” He stated as Shige sits on the front chair and faces him.
“But, you really wanted to come?” he seriously asked.
“I guess I haven’t told you, about it, the one that I attracted to is your brother.” He whispery answered.
“Maji?! So you want to come?” he nods.
“It can’t be helped, I’ll come too.” He grinned and Massu started to eat.

Shige liked basketball since childhood; he liked to play basketball with his father and also with his brother, until he reached junior high until the present, he joined 2 club, the basketball club as his extracurricular activity which is his brother, Tomohisa as the captain of the club and Nishikido Ryo, the one he secretly laid his eyes on, as the vice captain, but he acts way more as a captain than his brother. Since he’s around, this guy loves criticize him, insults his ability, even he was great at basketball. He can’t help but cry in private and open this up to his other senpai, on the booklovers club, Koyama Keiichiro, his best friend, they’re very close together, and as they share secrets and Koyama only knew the secret that Shige likes Nishikido.
“Kato! You think you’re great!? You call yourself great? Why didn’t you rebound the ball? You’re stupid! You better quit the club!” snarled Nishikido on the club room.
“Ryo-chan! It’s not a real game, it’s just a mock game, right?” asked the captain.
“There are no exemptions Pi! He didn’t even learn it! If you keep on doing that! That’s why there’s basketball club! To enhance our basketball skills.” Retorted Nishikido and turn his stare at Shige.
“Don’t worry, Nishikido-kun.” Shige looked up at him and there are tears stains on his eyes.
“I’ll quit.” Shige took his things and left the room. Nishikido wanted to stop him but Tomohisa punched him directly on his face.
“That’s too much Ryo-chan! Take note, he’s my brother! I keep on trying to take him closer to you! He didn’t deserve this! If you’re gonna do those to him... I won’t forgive you, and I won’t help you anymore.” Tomohisa tried to control his anger but the anger overcomes within him.
“I’m sorry Pi; I didn’t mean to do that. I just want him to practice more. I wanted Shige to be the best. I didn’t know that he take it seriously!”
“Shige is pretty sensitive and you know that! If you want someone, you keep every detail about him or her! You should apologize to him!” he glared at him and left him dismayed on the room.

“Shige, what’s wrong?” asked his best friend Koyama. Shige doesn’t respond anything.
“Does that Nishikido made you cry?”
Shige nodded.
“Damn that Nishikido. He’ll pay for making you cry.” Koyama clench his fist.
“Its fine, Kei-chan, I’m getting used to it.” Said Shige, as he stopped from sobbing.
“Shige, I won’t let this happen again. Is it fine with you? Getting insulted?”
Shige shook his head.
“Then stop being a martyr can you, please?”
“Hai.” He smiled at his best friend.
Having a friend like Koyama, even he’s noisy, yet, caring and understanding guy, and he’s willing to fight over his friend when in time of needs, he’s very honest. Shige thought.

Shige and Tomohisa went home together, as Tomohisa waited for him at the library. He knew that Shige would only be there because he’s opening up with Koyama over the incident happened recently.
“Shige, would mind if I asked something?” he asked as they entered their bedroom.
“Sure, go ahead.” He turned to him, eyes were still swollen and still sniffing.
“Are you coming to his birthday?” asked Tomohisa.
“Yes. I promised Masuda-kun to come.”
“So he will come with you.”
Shige nodded. Tomohisa smiles widely and embraced his little brother.
“Yamette!” he struggled.
“How about earlier? I punched Ryo-chan. I can’t stand it doing that to you.”
With Tomohisa’s words, Shige can’t help but worried about Nishikido.
“Sorry, I made it worse. And it’s my fault, and because of that your friendship is ruined.”
“It’s not. I just told him to apologize.”
“He wouldn’t do that. He has a pride in himself, so, he can’t.”
“He should.” Said Tomohisa.
He would do it because he wants you, Shige. He thought.

Nishikido’s Residence
Shige went inside the Nishikido’s household with his friend, library buddy and classmate, Masuda, the house, no, the mansion has lots of visitors and most of them are the senpais from their school, even Koyama.
“Senpai!!!” called Shige.
“Gesshi, Masuda-kun! What are you doing here? Were you invited?” asked Koyama.
The two nodded as response.
“Shige, Masuda-kun! You’re here!” called Tomohisa whose running down on the stairs and flashed a big yet goofy grin on his face.
“Aniki, doushite?” asked Shige to his brother.
“You just made it on time. Let’s grab some food, ne?”
“I’m not hungry. Just go on first.” Said Shige and take a glance to the happy faced Masuda.
“Let’s go Masuda-kun.” Grabbed Masuda’s arm and went on the cater to grab foods.
Yet, the party was big and has a 2 caters the Japanese cuisine and the other was the Chinese cuisine. Masuda was fond of Chinese cuisines, mostly the dumplings.
Masuda straight ahead to the Chinese cuisines and looked for a dumplings, especially the steamed one. He took 5 pieces of it and takes some dry noodles and rice.
“You like them, ne?” said Tomohisa and Masuda just nodded, totally ignored.

Hour later after Tomohisa and Masuda finished eating and chatting with each other, with a big smile on their faces. And Tomohisa told his brother, Shige that Nishikido called him and went to his room and wait for him inside. Shige wandered where in this big house is his room. He went to the 3rd floor of the house, and he asked the maid around that floor his room. The maid respectively takes him to the room, but he was right, his room was around that floor and yet, he's still at lost.
They arrived at Nishikido's room and was said that he will seat at the couch and wait for him, he does it and sat at the couch and took his book out and read while patiently waiting for him.
Minutes later have passed, Nishikido entered the room quietly and Shige didn’t even notice that he was there and the room is locked.
“Do you believe in vampires?” a husky voice whispered to Shige’s sensitive ears, as the younger guy jumped in surprise as he saw Nishikido at his back.
“Nishikido-kun!!! You’re giving me a heart attack!” Shige clutched his fist on his own shirt as his heart is beating so fast.
Nishikido just laughed at him.
“What is it?” asked Shige as he continues reading.
“You don’t have anything to say?” he asked.
“H-Happy birthday, Nishikido-kun.” He smiled and gave his gift to him.
“Thanks.” As he sat beside Shige, and their gaps were closed.
“Well, as what I have said earlier, do you believe in vampires?” he asked.
“Hmmmm… apparently, no. Why?”
“What if… I was a vampire? Gray eyes, sharp teeth, and I will go to bite you… like this.” He began to place his lips on his neck.
Shige flushed furiously.
“Nishikido-kun…” Shige gasped.
“Hmmm?”
“You don’t have sharp teeth, instead of a sharp tongue.”
“Meanie…” as he kissed his nose and lean closer to meet his lips but, Shige pushed him away.
“Stop this. This isn’t funny anymore.”
“Shige, I like you.” Nishikido confessed as Shige’s heart skipped a beat as Nishikido confessed.
“Nishikido-kun…”
“I liked you since I entered junior high. I can’t explain myself but, I did. Every time I see you, smiling, I wanted that smile mine. Making you cry, I wanted to apologize, but I don’t find any courage to. Teasing you, I’m doing it because; I want your attention with me. Sawing you with that Koyama, it makes me jealous, because he’s the only person who can make you happy, not me.” Explained Nishikido, but Shige wouldn’t understand, because his mind was blocking him so.
“Shige, I wanted to say this for a very long time, but, its time, Shige, I can’t hold any longer.”
He said as Shige began to cry, Nishikido’s explanation makes him doubt if he’s doing his stupid game of him or this is a Nishikido Ryo’s real feelings towards him.
“Sorry.” He takes his leave at his room, still in tears.
He was in love with the guy who confessed with him, Nishikido Ryo, but he was quite unsure of Ryo’s confession, as he watched from the televisions and in cinemas, that the male lead confesses to the girl, saying that he was in love with the person, which he didn’t love wholeheartedly, like the girl was under the bet. And ended up at breaking the girl’s heart, he didn’t want that to happen.
Nishikido was still at shock at what Shige had reacted and said. It hurts his heart, as he lets out all of his tears from the eyes, release all this painful memories. He wants Shige to believe in it, he was so serious on him.
“Aishiteru, Shige… please… believe me… I’m serious…” He said and continues sobbing. As he takes Shige’s gift and opened it carefully, there was a belt and a letter included. He take a look at the belt, it looks like a rockstar-ish style. And he like it, and liked it even more, because Shige is the one who gave this to him, and there was a thing left behind… the letter. He wiped his tears away and took the letter and began to read.
Nishikido-kun,
This is the first time I wrote you a letter, this is embarrassing. Yes, embarrassing. I’m so sorry about the gift, it was cheap and you can provide it and tons of it. But, I want you to know about this belt stand for bonds, for me, even you hate me so much. I want Nishikido-kun to be my friend as what he and aniki had. I envied your bonding. That’s what I wanted to Nishikido-kun, to have a great bond with you. Demou, Nishikido-kun hates me. But, I’m willing to wait, for that time to come, that we will become friends.

“Masuda-kun, are you free next weekend?” asked Tomohisa.
“Hai! Why did you ask?” he replied back and there’s something he expect about.

“Anything’s fine with me…” Masuda smiled widely.
“Well then, by Saturday, okay. I’ll just go to your house.”
Masuda nodded. While Koyama made a loud, scandalous voice.
“Gesshi! What happened!?” Shige doesn’t reply but yet to leave the celebration and Koyama is still following him.
“Shige, I’ll just take you home.” He sighed and called his personal driver.
Shige stopped in front of Koyama.
“Shige, what’s wrong?” he confronted Shige.
Shige can’t stop his emotion; he embraced Koyama tightly and cries his heart out.
“Nishikido-kun… he… he…”
“Shige!!!” called Tomohisa coming closer to him with Masuda.
“Aniki…” he loosen his embrace on Koyama and look at the 2 who’s coming.
“What happened? Does Ryo-chan did something to you?”
“Nishikido-kun, confessed to me…” sniffed Shige.
“He did?” asked Masuda, who is curious.
“Hai.”
“Demou, Shige… how about you? Do you have any feelings for him?” asked Tomohisa. Koyama doesn’t mind to ask, he knew the answer, but he leave it to Shige.
Shige response on a nod.
“But, what are you crying for?”
“He’s not serious! I know he’s playing around and there’s no way of liking me.” Shige blurted out.
