First off, why am I writing a terribly essay? Because since threading the Hall of Horrors thread, I feel an urge to essay on it. Or. Sort of kind of essay. :|a Will update as the thread goes along.
1. Why is Tokusa not activating his Akuma arm?
Under normal, freaky circumstances, he would have. But almost immediately upon coming into the Hall, he was encountered by a Cyril creature (spider part for the lower half, Cyril for the top. Gdit cardio, you're going to give me nightmares), and that - pretty much scared him to the point where he could not activate one of his only weapons and defenses. Not only that, Cyril, while Tokusa hates, hates, HATES the man, is a Non Attackable Person because one, he could kill Tokusa, and two, because he has a hold on Tokusa to where he absolutely cannot attack him. Fear and other squicky things come into play.
2. Why is he acting so vulnerable?
This has to do with two things - one, the Cyril creature, and two, the fact that he's a woman now (that was not meant to be sexist - a better clarification will come up). The Cyril creature not only caused him to be frightened enough to the point where he couldn't activate his Akuma arm, but the fact that Cyril himself was part of that creature was enough to practically rip all of his emotional defenses off. Cyril = Fear for Tokusa - put them in a dark place with no escape, with dripping corpses, spider legs and what have you, and you've got yourself one scared shitless ex-Crow.
More elaboration on the woman thing - I have said before that Tokusa didn't mind being a woman. He didn't. Until Cyril got to that body too (see Berry + Chocolate tea thread). Now Tokusa feels really insecure about the body and how well it can actually hold up, which makes him even more scared, if that's possible. He doesn't think women are weak both emotionally and physically, necessarily - I mean, he grew up with Tevak, after all. But he does know that in many ways, a woman's body is weaker than a man's, so that set him on edge pretty damn well.
3. Why is he acting 'woman-like'?
I say 'woman-like' because a friend of mine read that thread and commented about Tokusa's behavior in that way. This has to do with the vulnerability. Tokusa was already freaked out enough without the Hall, and now it's even worse. It's natural that he would act vulnerable and a bit girly. It doesn't have to do with his body, it doesn't have to do with his gender - it's just the way that he acts in an extremely stressful situation.
4. What is Tokusa going to do after the Hall of Horrors is over?
Probably lie in his room for a few days until his body is back to normal and he can actually step out without fearing another Hall will pop up.
Anymore questions?
