Omg. I'm so frustrated and annoyed.
I'm not Michael Jackson's biggest fan, but I like him. I enjoy his music. Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" was the first CD I ever owned. He introduced me to music so I dig him. I'm just getting fucking pissed off with people.. my so-called "friends" being complete pricks about the whole situation. Calling him a pedophile and a freak. The guy is DEAD. He died TODAY. Shut the fucking shit up. People are so fucking heartless. A lot of my friends are whinging because it's all over the TV. Well, he was one of the most influential people in music of our time and sorry to let you all know - WE LIVE IN A MEDIA DRIVEN SOCIETY! - Of course his death is going to be a BIG deal on the TV. Christ, are people seriously this thick? I'm over the pedo comments. I never thought he was. Always supported him, so I'm not one of those people who have changed their opinion after he died, but come on. Give me proof. Show me. You can't take one persons word over the someone elses! So, why am I getting shit for supporting him? Because I took HIS side and not the childs? Fuck. Maybe the guy liked hanging out with kids because kids aren't fucking judgemental, prejudice arseholes. I dig hanging out with kids.. so.. what am I? Oh no, I'm a female so that makes it ok. FUCK OFF. I had one girl tell me "He was a freak who bleached his skin". I was like "Yes and how is that any different from you getting a spray tan? You're still altering the appearance of your skin.. So, are you a freak too?". She is one of the most fake people I know. She has bleached white hair and orange fake tan! Who is she to comment on a man who decided to alter his apparence? I had another friend call him a "man" with quotation marks around it. Oh, so because he didn't take on a typical masculine role he is no longer allowed to be called a man? How utterly ignorant! She also said that he didn't contribute to society. Um. He was an entertainer. That was his JOB. He was pretty good at it too. Ok, so he wasn't out working on a farm. Does that mean that what he contributed to society is any less? He was an amazing talent. Are we now not supporting art as a part of society? This same woman commented on his debt and the fact that he wasted his money and that it could have been used to help third world countries. Um. No. You're wrong. For starters, there is no WAY that a country (such as America) who has control over a country that is in debt (like many countries in Africa) is going to let go of that control if Michael Jackson came along and offered to pay them off. It's got nothing to do with money! It's got to do with control of resources! Secondly, what about all the celebrities that are alive? How about you bitch the shit about them? No no, it's just because you didn't like him and now that he's dead you think it's alright to talk shit about him. It's not. It's never cool to talk rubbish about someone who has died... ON THE DAY THAT THEY DIED. It's sick. Truely sick. This man has a family and children and fans that loved him. There are people that are in a lot of pain tonight because he died so young and so suddenly. A lot of people had tickets to see him live next year, including one my friends who is absolutely devo about the whole thing. She was going to fly to London to see him and everything. I have no doubt in my mind that he wasn't a completely sane person but 1. what artist is and 2. with a childhood like his, it's not that surprising. So are we now making fun of people who aren't completely there or have mental illness? Jesus fucking christ. How about we make fun of the fact that he converted to Islam! How about we laugh at the fact that one of his kids names is Blanket (an awesome name.. truely.)! I'm all for a good joke and I adore jokes that are in bad taste but not when people are dead. That is well poor. I like MJ but I still adored the episode of South Park that ripped him off... Parody is awesome but saying really awful things about people on the day of their death.. no matter what they've done is bullshit. So,how about we all just shut the shit up, listen to his awesome sounds and stop talking out of our arses.
