Rather than reply to the old post, I thought I'd just make a new one. :B
I think some of the graphic inconsistencies have to do with the models, but I still think the lighting is really wonky in some places. For some of the backgrounds, it doesn't stand out as much, but the one with the Daily Bugle really bugs me for some reason. @@;
And as for the voices... hasn't Captain America always sounded really stupid? :3 I mean, I remember back in the day when we'd team up the Cap, Cyclops, and War Machine just based on how ridiculous their voices/lines were. It's not too different from the old one. ;)
But actually, after watching more of the videos, I'm really, really liking how well considered this whole project is becoming. Even besides the fact that it's looking to shape up to be a pretty decent fighter right now, I love the fact that Capcom is throwing bits of fun characterization in the mix. There's not too much to speak of from the Capcom side yet from what I've seen, but small things like how the Cap calls Iron Man "Tony" (comic story continuity?! In a video game?! :O), how the Hulk calls the same character "metal man" because of his intelligence deficient nature, and the way in which Deadpool breaks the fourth wall ("You pressed the wrong button!")... I mean, that's just cool! Honestly, I miss these kinds of little details in fighting games. Things like special intros and win poses were always fun, extra bits that showed off bits about the characters, and I was quite sad when those were absent from SF4 (SSF4 too, I think?) and even KoFXII. Great to see that Capcom pay attention to small details again. This was always the type of stuff that game their games charm.
