kitties and more kitties
So my neighbor has this new cat and i just figured it was spayed but apparently it wasn't and it had SIX kittens about 5 weeks ago. I came over to visit a few times but then one day last week I saw them putting a bunch of things into the back of this huge truck and I thought they must be moving.
So then I happen to walk by the house yesterday and notice this box outside on the fence nearest to my house and there are some soggy blankets in there and a chewed up (empty) bag of cat food. I thought that's strange.
I peek around and I hear all the kitties crying under this weird shed floor in the back yard. I don't know where the momma cat is but four of the kitties are under there crying. I tried to knock on the neighbor door but I guess they've already moved because noone is answering their door and all the windows are closed up tight, no car in the drive.
So far I've bought a huge bag of food and went over and gave them fresh water but Im' not sure what to do next. I coudl call the humane socity but I don't want them to be stuck in a cage either. Im thinking of putting an ad in Craigs list or something but that seems like a lot of work trying to find appropriate familes. Anyway it's been stressful and I guess I'm a foster cat mommy right now. Any one want kittens? I can drive them anywhere between N CA to Portland! (with a little gas $$) Most calico or black with some orange spots (one of them). Two boys, three girls it looks like. I don't know how house friendly they are.
