Sheesh... talk about a late bloomer! I am SO naive sometimes... and this was definately one of those times. WHO KNEW???!!! (Certainly not ME!) I like "fairy-tale" retellings, fiction... little did I know there was a WHOLE other genre!!! Needless to say this will NOT be one I read to the girls (now 3 and 5).

Yeah, that would bring up a lot of colorful and uncomfortable questions, I'm sure.

Well, my group of friends in high school was a literary snobbish sort of clique. We studied all the cool languages (Latin, Greek, anything dead), and read Marquis de Sade and Anne Rice and wore all black.

Yeah, we were dorks.
