...this may be terribly presumptuous of me to say, but I believe I know you from somewhere, and that's a very odd circumstances as up to this point I have only known four humans before my arrival here.

As a matter of fact we are. Although I'm not entirely sure 'acquainted' is the word I would use.

And John is my son. I'm pretty sure Dave and Jade are their friends from the Internet. I've heard John talking about them before. Is that how he knows you too?

...and yes, that is how I am acquainted with the four of them, to put it succinctly.

You should visit for dinner sometime! We'd be happy to have you. Or maybe we should throw a party and have the kids invite all their friends. Sort of a 'getting to know you' kind of event, and I'm sure it'd be fun to get all your buddies together in one place. I'll bake a special cake just for the occasion.
