Today I went with my friends Larry and Marvin (or O'Dell and Marvellius if we want to do some inside-joke high school reminiscing) to the local minigolf/arcade/batting cages/go-kart track, almost on the spur of the moment. I played DDR for the first time, and I would guess I did okay on it. I did about four or five songs on Beginner, then moved up to Light for the duration, except for doing Standard on one song and Oni on another. Marvin kind of suckered me into doing one on the hardest difficulty; I didn't realize it until it was a wee bit too late.
Anyways, the point is, I'm not as opposed to DDR as I was. I'll never compete in a tournament or practice until I can get the perfect rating on any song. I'll play with friends if I happen to be in the mood, but never by myself. It's okay, but I'd still rather play other things.
School starts on 23 August. I still haven't gotten my financial aid stuff finished. Suppose I'll do it tomorrow or Wednesday. Since I'm only shooting for student loans (grades are too low for scholarships), it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I'm supposed to help my grandfather change out the carpet in his bathroom tomorrow. It's probably going to be the highlight of my day, aside from getting a haircut. I need a haircut, because my hair is starting to get wavy again. If they trim my sideburns, I'm going to throw a fit and/or a few punches. I've been trying for many weeks to get my sideburns to grow down to my goatee, and I'll be highly upset if my efforts are set back now that I'm so close to my goal.
