that was very weak of the "juicyness" regardingy our two failed romances.
where did you go in peru? paige went to pisco on a service trip this past spring and loved it. did you climb machu pichu? i dont know if that is spelled correctly.
peace corps/americorps i think would be excellent for you. it's really not for everyone, or maybe it could be, but some people definitely get more out of it and enjoy the experience more. ill give a look into my americorps year in an upcoming post when i feel the urge. there are so many different things you can do, and if you arent sure about a path right out of college then it is a great way to delay real life for a year and do something that will probably help you figure out whats important to you as well as look great on a resume.
I could go into more detail about them but I don't want to appear as if I'm looking for sympathy or anything... like I said it was a long time ago and it doesn't really bother me anymore. And to be honest I kind of forget a lot of it... I don't know if that's standard protocol or what, but I feel a little bad about that.
In Peru we were in Chilca (like an hour south of Lima along the coast), it's a town of around 20,000... I did not climb Machu Pichu, we were never that far inland, but I did go for a swim in the somewhat dirty Pacific Ocean! I guess that's not nearly as cool...
I would love t hear about your Americorps adventures... I don't even know where you were or for how long it lasted!
