Here's what Comcast has to say about Growing Pains

Easy-to-take sitcom about a mild-mannered psychiatrist keeping an eye on his precocious kids.

How dare you! That show had depth! Oh I wish life could be summed up so simply. Who writes these things? Was it you, Brian? Was it you Chino?

How could you possibly think it was me who wrote it? "Easy-to-take"?! How dare they? It fucking launched the career of an Oscar-nominated actor! And what about Maggie?? (No, not Maggie the dog.) She had no hand in watching the kids? Sure, the series began with her going back to work with the paper, and sure, she became even busier once she became Maggie Malone, star TV reporter. But that DID NOT limit her ability to parent, even when Mike brought Luke home and added an honorary Seaver kid to the mix.

This is appalling. I'm writing a goddamned letter.

also worth mentioning is how Allen Thicke wrote the fucking theme song; one of the greatest theme songs of all fucking time! And how about when the family invited all of his old band mates to his 50th birthday and they rocked the house! With Mike on keyboard! How's that for "easy-to-take?" I, for one, CAN'T TAKE IT AT ALL!

I'm so glad you don't write for Comcast, but maybe you should.

Dude, that was the episode where that old friend of the family kept hitting on Carol and calling her Charlie. I just don't understand why they won't release more seasons on DVD. Yet we can have the whole fucking series of What's Happenin' Now? in our collections.

I'm definitely not holding my breath for a Just the 10 of Us set, but I wish I could.

or, oooh, remember the one where everyone thought little leo was drinking the booze, but as it turned out he was emptying all the bottles down the sink because he didn't want Mr. Seaver to be an alcoholic just like his dead beat dad? That one was gut wrenching!

So yes! they need to release the whole series in glorious DVD or better yet Blue-Ray format. Is Perfect Strangers on DVD?

The first two seasons of P.S. are in one 4-disc set. It is the big item for x-mas this year, like Cabbage Patch Kids, Tickle-Me Elmo, and Furby before it. Stores can't even keep them on the shelves. I saw an ad in the paper for a special early-bird sale that said "Do the Dance of Joy and don't be ridickolus! Come to our Perfect Perfect Strangers sale and then get out of the city!" People are already lined up outside of Macy's and the sale is next Friday.
