Malex the bartender?
I am burnt out and tired of job hunting. I've been searching for a job now for almost three months and really haven't gotten that far. At this point it is just ridiculous and I have no idea why I am not being noticed. A few weeks ago I got really lucky and was given an interview at Lewis and Clark College and the University of Vermont. I was actually offered the position at UVM but after three days of emotionally breaking down over the fact of moving that far away...I decided it probably wasn't the best option for me. And L&C turned me down...bitches...
So here I am stressed and burnt out. I've run away to Seattle to just get away and clear my mind, but we aren't always able to run that long before things catch up. So I'm back to being bored and just waititng.
But I am not defeated yet! Next week I will be moving my stuff back to Sandy and leaving Salem! It'll be so weird to not live in that house anymore, but it will also be a nice change. After I get my stuff moved I am likely going to start bartending school up in Seattle! Yes...I, Matt Alex, am considering being a bartender. I think it would be a really great experience and something fun to do on the side. I figure I will bartend for the next year and go back to grad school in the Fall of 2009. It'll be a good investment to because I will be able to bartend throughout grad school and it'll help me pay for it!
I figure I wont start a new job in the next month or so, so I can focus on this for a little bit. Hopefully it pays off and I am able to get hired! UGH! But here goes...a brand new endeavour for me!
