I am getting rather worried about the results of our General Election on Sunday. The race is so very, very evan at the moment. It has been a very boring campaign, Sweden is too stable at the moment to have any really pressing questions to fight about. And the media refuses to write about the Feminist Party and their goals, so it is most possible that they will not pass the 4% limit to get theirs seats in Parliament. Too bad.
Yet, at the moment I am mostly worried about having
Fredrik Reinfeldt as Prime Minister. If the Conservative Alliance wins we are up for four years of change, and not to the better. I am worried about the Swedish system, social securities and health care issues. They will make major cuts and privatizations there, and that is never good in the long run. There have been so many scandals at private nursing homes here.
I will probably leave Sweden in the next two years anyway, but I would like the country to go on like is has. It is nice to know that we have the Swedish Model, and even if I personally don't want to live here, there are a lot of Swedes who do. Heck, it is safe and clean and nice and if only the job climate was a bit better I'd stay here too. Still, I worry.
