I made it down to Lund this afternoon, after spending the night at the hospital looking after dad. The night wasn't too bad, dad's dyskinesia stopped and he settled down around midnight, but didn't really fall asleep until maybe half past two. And then my sister overslept and didn't show up until 03:40 (she should have been there by 02:00), which meant that I didn't get back home until some time past four, and probably didn't fall asleep until five. And then I had to get up at nine. So yeah, I'm on four hours sleep for the second day running, and pretty damn tired. But according to mum's phone report, dad was doing quite well today and that's always wonderful!
Here in Lund spring is pretty much sprung, it's a bit further south than Gothenburg and so many more flowers are in bloom. First day of slightly warmer weather and it felt good to actually be able to take a walk in the sun and not worry that I should be at the hospital. Had a coffee with A and returned some books, and then sorted out all the mail and collected some packages. Tomorrow I'm heading over to my sister's place to pick up her bills and some clothes and stuff. Hope to be able to catch up with a few other friends down here as well, and then head back up to Gothenburg on Thursday. Fingers crossed that all goes well up there in the mean time. I feel kind of privileged to get a few days rest from the hospital, lord know I need it. Will hopefully be able to sleep properly for two nights and then come back with loads of new energy. We have some tough weeks ahead of us.
