Well, what a wonderful early summer day it was today. First day in weeks it was actually pleasant to sit on the balcony and have dinner. I didn't need a jacket when I took the bike over to my sister's old flat to check for mail etc, and I bought a carton of Swedish strawberries form the stand by the cross-road. Still bloody expensive, 50 SEK (approx. $6 or £4) for a litre. But still, there's just nothing like Swedish strawberries. We need more sun though, so they get a bit sweeter.
Back to the baking. I was a bit miffed that the buns hadn't risen more from the proving in the fridge, will try the recipe again and leave them to prove in room temperature next time. But still, they did rise a bit in the oven. And I almost burnt them! Argh. So they look a bit dark on the photo. But they taste great, and now my freezer is full of buns. Will bring some up to Gothenburg next week.
I still have 10 pages left to read for the seminar tomorrow, and I suppose I'd better finish them now before I go to bed, since those plans of getting up early and read tend to fall to pieces..
