There are so many important people and issues which could be covered by that title. There are a few women from the early days that I admire. I have always been fond of
Rosa Luxemburg's ideas of internationalism.
Ellen Key was a prominent part of the peace movement at the end of the 19th century, is often forgotten and discarded as some kind of Earth Mother feminist, but she did have some interesting ideas (her house,
Strand, now a museum, is very peaceful and so incredibly beautiful).

Women in Black, which is a fascinating organization inspired by the amazing
Las Madres de Plaza de Mayo and the
Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo in Argentina.
