Movin' on out . . .
Today is my last day at work here in the Dominican Republic. My employees are asking me last minutes questions about work and I can tell they're nervous about me not being here but I know they'll do just fine by themselves.
One bummer is that when I get back to MN and continue to work with my current employer, I will no longer be doing the same job. They've created some 'quality control/everyone's general bitch' position for me. I would like to keep doing the same thing I'm doing now, at least a few months, just to make sure that my guys down here are doing well and get all their questions answered. But instead I will move directly into my new job responsibilities. That's fine. I like learning new stuff.
Tomorrow morning I'll wake up, pack up my things, give my cat some tranquilizers, get on a plane, and head home to MN, where the temperature is hotter than on this tropical island. Go figure!
