There is about 15 minutes until tonight's edition of "Baseball Tonight" airs on ESPN 2, so let me just finish my last day at Baltimore for you good people.
Sunday: It was nice and sunny, perfect weather to go to the old ball park. Despite not getting much sleep, I was still energetic from lastnight's Red Sox's win. Now wide awake, I decided to head to Brandon and Anthony's room trying to coordinate our plan for our last day in Baltimore. I mistakenly walked into one of the cheerleaders' room for their's...ooops...tee hee. All fairness, I did knock first and was allowed to come in. Granted, they probably thought I was one of their team mates.
After the distraction, we decided to get to the ball park early so we can find free parking. Afterwards, we decided to get brunch. In attempt to save money, we ate at a food court at small mall near the harbor. I had Chinese food, and you know what they say about Chinese food. Because an hour or so later, I was eating an Italian susage inside Cameden Yard.
Game time, we got club seats for $25! What a bargain! Today more so than the last few days, it seemed that Red Sox fans outnumbered O's fans here in Baltimore. The Nation is everywhere! Now let's see of Tim Wakefield can follow the examples set by Matt Clement and Curt Schilling before him and finish this road trip with a sweep before going back to Fenway Park for our home openning against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Wakefield got in trouble the first, giving up an un earned run, but settled down by the 3rd. Even by the 6th, with no outs, and runners at the corner, his nasty knockleball manage to strike the side. While the O's starting pitcher, Rodrigo Lopez was not so lucky. Although traditional pitched well against Boston, he given up 4 runs and a L on his record today. Our bullpen from Keith Foulke Mike Timlin to John Papelbon showed no mercy and brought us a sweep on the road.
After the game, I was on a mission to bring home crabcakes for the parents. Despite warnings by my party about the healthy values of brining seafood inside a hot car trunk for 6+ hours, I had an order to fill. And miraculously not only did my parents didn't sick, they complained why I only brought back 2 servings. Unbelievable!
After the mission is complete, its time to return the Big Apple. A fun trip, lack of sleep or not. I'll have some after thoughts tomorrow. If any of you want to join us next year, you people are more than welcome to join us.
