This isn't funny. This isn't fucking funny. Where the hell did that useless manservant run off to now? And what was the big idea; leaving her some stuffed rabbit and then sneaking off? Since when was he allowed to leave her alone and go off on his own without a word? He wasn't, couldn't, wouldn't...

Jack texted her earlier spouting some nonsense ( Read more... )

Alice... [Red just happened to be walking by when he noticed the girl's terrible, tearful look as she ran down the road that they were both in at the moment. without waiting further, Red followed after her until he could manage to grab a hold of her hand and then pulled her over to him in a tight embrace. with her words and how she looked, he was certain that she lost someone important from here, too. while he had gotten over his losses, there are people here who are still experiencing them. it's his turn yet again to comfort them.]

[Oz's face was the only face she wanted to see. That stupid goofy grin of his, she needed to see it now more than ever. Everyone else was on the streets appeared as a mere blurr while she searched for her blonde haired, emerald eyed companion. So when a hand clasped around hers and jerked her backwards she hadn't been expecting it. At that moment her heart lifted and the tiniest glimmer of hope shot through her as she opened her mouth to call out to him as she turned around.]

Oz!

[Wrong. It wasn't Oz. Alice was pulled right up against his chest and as she gazed up at him her eyes flashed with confusion and then realization of who exactly this was.]

Red!? Wh-What are you doing!?

... What do you think? [there is a small smile to that reaction, just keeping his soft embrace. he moved one had to pat the back of her head, not wanting her to forget that she's not alone. he's here... and a lot of others are still here. he's certain that they feel the same way as him... either way, he's definitely here for her and that won't change.]

[She continued to gaze up at him a tad bit confused before she glanced downward in slight embarrassment. She had been running around like an idiot, and Red had seen her. And now he was holding her, because he knew just how upset she was even though Alice herself didn't truly realize. She blushed as his hand lifted to pat her comfortingly on the head and she moved to step backwards in an attempt to wriggle free of his arms.]

I-I don't have time for this. I'm looking for someone!

[Jack simply followed along each street she went with. He knew her well- so it wouldn't be wise to disturb her. He hated to see her this way, it made his time here all the more hard.

He really couldn't understand Alice. Why Oz meant so much to her. But he was trying his best.

As she stopped, he walked up behind her, arms around her shoulder. Noticable height difference is a go.] I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just...busted the news on you.

[Alice didn't move. She knew it was Jack right away without having to look or check. She could see his shadow on the ground, approaching hers from behind.

She remained still even as his arm slid around her shoulder, staring blankly down to the fountain in front of her. She felt so numb.]

....I'm so stupid...

Why ever would you say that, Alice? You've done nothing wrong.

[He held her close to his side, fingers rubbing at her shoulder. She was acting ridiculous- Alice did nothing wrong to have Oz going home. Jack guessed it was just his time; perhaps testing if Alice could go it alone here?]

...I was so naive... I was too busy meddling with stupid ghost pirates that I didn't even notice he'd left... What's wrong with me? [She lifts her hands, palms up, and holds them out in front of her looking down to them.] How could I let him slip through my fingers?
