591. ACCOUNTING AND OPEN UNIVERSITY, ANY GOOD?

Feb 08, 2010 19:54

Ever since the day I decided to quite university i've been wondering if it's the right thing to do. I mean, I wasn't enjoying my course and I wasn't (and still aren't) sure what I want to do, but there must be something for me out there.

University isn't really an option anymore seeing as we have a mortgage and what not and I don't care for the social side of it, I just wonder if getting qualifications will help me get a better career.

For the past 5 hours i've been reading about the Open University and i'm thinking it's an option. I was thinking of going into accountancy and perhaps doing a short course so I know if it's something i'll enjoy or not. The only problem is that there seems so many different options to make. I could just go straight to one of the professional qualification places and train with one of them.. or I could do an accounting certificate with the OU so i'd start higher up with the professional training... i'm really not sure.

Someone helps! :(
